"Honey-tart flavor". Jonagold are a relatively larger sized apple with red, yellow, and orange coloring. They have a light, crispy, very juicy flesh, and are mostly sweet with just a hint of tart which has been described as honey-tart. Jonagold are a cross between Jonathan (heirloom sweet-tart apple) and Yellow Delicious (sweet and mellow) - great for eating or baking! An all-purpose apple.
