Known as both Mutsu and Crispin. Large, green/yellow apple, sweet, and firm. They are a favorite for dehydrating, as well as fresh eating. Mutsu keep very well, and tend to get sweeter with age. In Japan, where it was first developed, it is often referred to as “the million dollar apple”. Why? Because of its size and flavor would be a good guess!
